Raspberrys are part of learning how to talk. Baby is experimenting with different ways to move her lips and tongue: Sooner or later, she’ll probably make a raspberry—and think it is the most hilarious thing. There’s about 30 to 35 percent of babies that never do, they just go straight to babbling. Go ahead and encourage this new sound with some raspberries of your own. It will encourage her to try other sounds, which is great practice for forming consonants, vowels, and then… words!
Babies usually start to raspberry around 4 to 6 months. Owlet started at about 1 1/2 months old, so, super early!
